'In de hoek van de laatste zon' has since received airplay from NTS to Echobox and Kiosk Radio, from Dia! in Bayonne to EHFM in Edinburgh — making it arguably the most broadcast Dutch-language track beyond its own borders.

Alex Deforce is a published poet with two collections, including 'Tussenbruggen', released in five languages by Poëziecentrum.

The Earliers is an early reggae and soul band based in France. Founded by producer and multi-instrumentalist Karigan, the project returns with a second 45 RPM release, once again staying true to its signature format: an early reggae track on Side A and a soul track on the flip side.

This new record features the outstanding vocals of Congo Lion on the early reggae side and Sebah on the soul side. The entire release was mixed by Karigan at BBR Studio, crafted with a vintage, old-school, homemade spirit.

Factory Floor return to Phantasy with ‘Buzz Saw’, a driving new single that once more re-establishes the trio of Nik Colk Void, Gabe Gurnsey and Joe Ward as amongst the most vital forces in live electronic music.

Following on from 2025’s sold-out vinyl singles ‘Between You’ and ‘Tell Me’, the spacious groove of ‘Buzz Saw’ bridges the sharp, bracing synthesis of the band’s origins in London’s post-industrial warehouse scene. Once again mixed by legendary engineer David Wrench (Daniel Avery, Floating Points), it captures the band’s most dancefloor-forward instincts, recently rejuvenated via appearances at Berghain, festivals such as No Bounds and Simple Things, plus a headlining UK tour.

As before, Gurnsey’s peerless drum work - tracked in the studio by Stephen Morris of New Order - proves forceful and delicate in tandem with Ward’s percussion, encountering suspenseful breakdowns in the space between Voids enveloping basslines. In dreamlike accompaniment, Colk Void’s own voice drifts serenely upwards, itself slowly consumed and obscured into the band’s full-bodied electronic rush, which is also available here as a more minimal, no-less powerful dub version.

In sonic contrast, ‘Guitar_1342’ finds the band experimenting in their starkest terms, stripped back of their luminescent flow and boldly reduced to an abrasive, dissonant guitar feedback.

Factory Floor’s ‘Buzz Saw’ will be released via Phantasy on 29th May 2025, available as a limited-edition vinyl pressing in a risoprint sleeve, as well as digitally.

A classic reissued. “The Sublime” was the deeper side of Rick Lenoir and Larry Thompson’s (LNR) psyche. With additional keys from Aaron Smith (UBQ Project), the title fit the groove – simply sublime. “Bubbles” bring us back to the harder, tougher side of the Tikkle team.

Bubbles is both inspired and inspiring, paying homage to the deepest of Chicago grooves woven together for the dance floor.

Acclaimed London collective Kokoroko have announced a brand new remix EP titled Brownswood Remix Editions 009 - Kokoroko remixes, set for release on 12th June 2026. The project reimagines standout tracks from their 2025 album Tuff Times Never Last, offering fresh perspectives on three fan favourites through a carefully curated selection of producers.



The EP brings together a dynamic trio of remixers: IG Culture, IZCO, and Musclecars, each delivering a distinct sonic interpretation rooted in club culture, soul, and rhythm-forward experimentation.



Brownswood Remix Editions 009 - Kokoroko remixes will be released on vinyl as part of the Brownswood Remix Editions series, landing as Edition 009. Known for spotlighting forward-thinking reinterpretations from across the global jazz and electronic spectrum, the Brownswood imprint brings a tangible, collector-friendly dimension to the project. Belgian label De:tuned once again dives into the innovative world of Luke Vibert, reviving his legendary Plug moniker with 'Variety Magic', the first new Plug album in nearly 15 years.

For this release, Vibert unearthed and hand-picked a collection of previously unreleased jungle and drum & bass gems, sourced straight from his original mid-90s DAT archive. The result is an 11-track ride through the raw energy and playful experimentation that made his early Plug work so distinctive, all infused with Vibert's unmistakable funk and mischievous flair.

Variety Magic is vibrant, bold, and delightfully off-kilter. A colourful homage to an iconic era, crafted for both deep listeners and the dancefloor. Stay tuned!

Luca Lozano has long been an artist whose output as both a producer and designer we've admired and after many years of seeing his records fly off the shelves here at Phonica, we're delighted to be releasing the 'Da Vinci' EP by the Klasse Wrecks boss on our main label. We'll let Lucas, the modern day renaissance man himself, take it from here:

"These four tracks were created over a few sessions while I was settling into a dank basement studio (which was new at the time and now long gone).

‘The Magnificent’ and ‘Delta Force’ were made just after I acquired an old Korg Delta synth, I spent a lot of time getting the 1970s beast to sync up with modern equipment and both tracks make use of it in various elements.

‘Eau De Dave’ is a cheeky homage to a UK producer legend, I’ve been digging into his various older productions recently and went back to a fidget sound for the fun of it.

‘Crunchy Nut’ was kind of inspired by early U.K. tech house, it was the last track confirmed on the EP and came together super quick. As usual it’s a mix of old drum machines like a modded 707 and a bunch of old samples I’ve had on my computer for a couple of decades now. I’m happy I managed to work some slap bass into a track finally…"

"Birmingham hailing quintet Swim Deep announces their fifth studio album ‘Hum’, due June 19th via Submarine Cat Records. They also share first single ‘Pieces Of You’ — a defiant cut of alternative rock: roaring with clouds of distortion that bring a bite and rawness to its chiming melodies. Fresh and inspired from a sold-out tour across Thailand and China in December, and with an unexpected line-up change: ‘Hum’ is the work of a group rejuvenated, driven by their innate passion for music – even when the going gets tough – and sounding more confident than ever, whilst juggling the challenges of maintaining a grassroots indie band on their fifth album. Speaking on the track, lead singer Austin “Ozzy” Williams adds: “I had found a new writing partner at the full-time bar job: there stood J.J. Buchanan by the barrels of beer kegs we were hauling. To those unfamiliar, G-Dragon is regarded by many as the Godfather of K-Pop. Rising to fame in the mid-00’s with his group, Big Bang, that later went on to become one of the world’s biggest selling boy groups. He quickly stood out with his unique and intricate songwriting as the leader of the group. A talented songwriter and trendsetter within the youth culture and fashion space, G-Dragon has received a bevy of awards, nominations for his music and fashion sense from the World Music Awards, to Hypebeast’s 100 list, to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, it’s apparent that G-Dragon has cemented his place in cultural relevance.

After serving his mandatory South Korean military service and a brief hiatus from music, the global superstar, G-Dragon has returned! He announced that he signed with indie-powerhouse, EMPIRE, and released his first comeback single on October 31, 2024 with POWER to immediate global fanfare and buzz, with the music video garnering over 44 MILLION views in a month and over 115 MILLION global streams. He soon followed that up with an electrifying performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards show in Osaka coupled with the release of his new single, Home Sweet Home which has garnered 100 MILLION global streams since release.

2025 will see the release of his first full length album since 2017 entitled Übermensch along with global tour dates. The album is expected to make a huge impact globally and further cement his place in music history!

Música para Plátanos takes its name — and much of its inspiration — from the group’s recording studio, situated in the heart of a banana plantation on the humid north shore of Tenerife, Canary Islands. The ever-present sight of the green, sun-drenched fields surrounding their weekly sessions seeped directly into the music: improvised jams that are playful, layered, and deeply connected to place.
This release gathers a distilled selection from those sessions — a kind of “greatest rotten hits” distinct from their ongoing Imaginary Island Music volumes.
The album functions as a living archive bringing together a distilled selection of recordings spanning more than five years: from dusty, long-forgotten sessions to evolving tunes that have become staples of the band's live sets but have never before been committed to record. These long-form sessions served as a petri dish for the Lagoss sound, allowing their experiments to putrefy into their chaotic signature strain of cyber-exotica, unstable kosmische or heavily-corroded dub.
The title obvs nods to Brian Eno’s Music for Airports, but the logic is inverted. Instead of clean, ambient drift, the record inhabits a dense and fertile environment: polyrhythmic structures, Latin-infused electronics, and shifting counter-tempos that feel weighted by the local humidity.
Ultimately, Música para Plátanos is as much about the process as it is the place. Like the plantation outside, the music is subject to the elements; the tracks change shape depending on the heat of the day, what we drank, what we ate. It’s an unstable, honest harvest of sound—shaped by the weather and the state(s) of mind alike.

Keroxen presents Spandauer Damm 103, a new album by Dancelwerk.
Bringing together modular systems, worn drum machines and digital synthesis, the record nods directly to the first decade of Warp Records and the early logic of bleep culture.
Dancelwerk is a Tenerife-based electronic pioneer and one of the foundational figures of the Canary Islands underground. Active for over 30 years, Spandauer Damm 103 marks both a personal milestone and a renewed point of focus, reaffirming his role in shaping the region’s electronic lineage. The album draws on 1990s electronic futurism, filtering those references through a contemporary production approach rather than nostalgia.
The music moves between places and periods: from the early rave circuits of southern Tenerife, where Dancelwerk built his reputation through DIY releases and warehouse-level experimentation, to his later relocation to Berlin, famously arriving with a shipping container of vintage synthesizers and modular equipment.
Balancing melody and impact, Spandauer Damm 103 sets custom-programmed percussion against detailed sound design. FM, spectral and wavetable synthesis shape its harmonic and textural focus, resulting in music that remains physical without sacrificing clarity.

Somewhere between the after-hours haze and the first flicker of sunrise, Nebraska re-emerges - this time with a twist in the signal. Long respected for his deep-cut sensibilities and dancefloor intuition, Ali Gibbs returns to Delusions Of Grandeur not just as Nebraska, but with a handover to his new alias: Dubl Drat. The Alter Alter Ego EP plays like a transmission from both sides of his creative psyche - one rooted in warm, groove-led house and disco mutations, the other drifting deeper into dubbed-out, heady abstraction.

The A-side opens with Alter Alter Ego in its Nebraska OG Mix form - a crunchy, funked-up mid-tempo burner. Chopped Rhodes solos flicker in and out of the mix while a rolling bassline locks into a low-slung groove - equal parts party-starter and late-night dancefloor hypnosis. Next, The Teckel Track slides the tempo down into a proper slo-mo four-on-the-floor bumpy groove. Fat stabs punch through layers of glitchy FX while a melodic bassline snakes underneath, forming a hazy, infectious earworm tailor-made for those early-night mood-setting sessions. Closing the A-side, Olive (Dubl Drat Dub) signals a shift. Here, Gibbs leans fully into his Dubl Drat persona, dissolving structure into a blissed-out dub excursion.

Chopped breaks scatter across the stereo field, chiming melodies echo into the distance, and granulated percussion parts build a dense, immersive landscape - one to get lost in rather than dance through. Flipping over we have Alter Alter Ego (Dubl Drat Remix) which reconfigures the title track into a stripped-back boogie workout. The groove is leaner but no less potent, driven by a killer bassline and punctuated with signature Rhodes licks - pure, understated club pressure. Finally, Olive (Nebraska Version) offers a gentle comedown. This alternate take softens the edges, introducing additional guitar textures that drift into Balearic territory. It’s nostalgic, introspective, and quietly expansive - a closing chapter that lingers long after the last note fades. The Alter Alter Ego EP isn’t just a new release - it’s a dual-state exploration, a conversation between rhythm and space, between Nebraska and Dubl Drat, and marks the last ever Nebraska release as Ali closes the chapter and the alias for the final time.

Applying the solid structures of floor-focused Berlin techno to the expressive space of introspective electronica, Answer Code Request returns to Delsin with his first album in eight years. Halo finds Patrick Gr?ser broadening his sound palette more than ever before, matching atmospheric synthesis with dynamic beat constructions true to his impressive legacy while breaking new ground. Across Halo, smoky clouds of pads and chords lend the album an introspective quality in the grand tradition of ambient techno. In front of these haunting melodic forms, Gr?ser is free to explore all manner of rhythmic directions. There are fractured, downtempo micro beats and angular fractals on the likes of 'Fading Shadows' and 'Refraction' that take their cues from breakbeat -- finely detailed drum sequences constantly evolving into new arrangements. A pointed nod to D&B rears its head on the aptly named, hard-edged 'Fracture' and you might hear a firmly submerged hint of ravey acid coursing under 'Sublith'. Elsewhere, the firmer kick-anchored pulse of the classic Answer Code Request sound manifests for more forthright techno excursions such as 'Halo' and 'Bliphar'. In the context of the album, though, these tougher tropes are channeled into mesmerising soundscapes that soften the attack without diminishing the potential for club impact. In this era of his craft, Gr?ser moves instinctively through the sounds and approaches that inspire him, and the end result is an album that feels natural and open, all the while steadily progressing the ongoing evolution of Answer Code Request.

BERLINCIAGAY launches its first vinyl release, welcoming DJ Beluga92 for a dreamy and twisted journey through house, tech and electro. Rooted in analog textures and emotions,
BCG001 captures a driving and cinematic side of Berlin nightlife while still carrying enough tension for the late-night hours.

Mastered and lacquer cut by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering and pressed by Matter Of Fact, the EP feels intentionally physical and warm, embracing the depth and movement of analog sound.

DJ Beluga92 recently delivered a live set at Rex Club Paris, which can also be heard through the BERLINCIAGAY #10 mix series. We are very excited to finally present this release on vinyl.

A1 “Rip Meine Maschine” is Labelheads Tom Peters’ absolute favorite from the EP. A twisted roller driven by a distinctive male vocal, hypnotic groove and restless energy. The track became a closing moment during Tom’s latest US tour, where he played BASEMENT’s Studio in NYC, Vice Underground’s warehouse party in Los Angeles and Midnight Service in Miami.

A2 “System Effect” moves into a more dreamy and emotional direction. Floating vocals repeating “this is the sound” drift through housy pads and spacious textures, creating a track that feels both euphoric and trippy at the same time.
B1 “GA_Entry after 7AM” rounds off the record beautifully with spacey atmospheres, analog synth work, echoes and reverbs. It feels like the afterglow of a long night, designed for the early morning hours on the dancefloor or the journey home afterwards.

All dubbed-out edges and low-end pressure for listeners and advanced record entertainers — former London, now Seoul-based DJ Botermelk drifts into dubwise territory with ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ : delay-led, sirens and bass heavy. Jorg Kuning reworks the track, soaking further in with his trademark modular sound palette. Flip-side business: ‘Knock Knock’ locks into a straight acid line, tight and elegant, while ‘Chunky Monkey’ opens the frame again — rhythm breathing, dub fragments drifting loose.

The Croatian artist has told this particular story how he wanted with 4 tracks crucially being together on this disc so it would be a complete tale of “Egg of the Sun”. From heavenly pads & guitar riffs he has given birth to this particular disc which is ready to enter into the vast world of music. The artist has been putting out discs since the early 2000’s and has developed a vast discography behind his name that only deserves respect and admiration whether he is working solo or in collaborations with other musical souls. With her third album, composer and bandleader Jasmine Myra has stepped confidently into the next stage of her unique musical explorations. Where Light Settles is a cohesive artistic statement from a distinctive and confident voice in UK music, and a significant evolution from the critically acclaimed Horizons (2022) and Rising (2024). Nine beautiful and powerfully grounded compositions express an accumulation of the artist"s ruminations on life, growth, and progression, powered by her vision of duality. "It"s those bittersweet moments which are heart-breaking but so important. Looking forward and trying to make sense of life," she says. "Pain is unavoidable, and you"ll have hardship no matter what, but you don"t grow or learn about yourself or the world around you without it. The duality is the growth and coming out the other side. I had the concept from the start."

The origins of Body System date back around 35 years. Dissatisfied with previous experiences, the project was conceived as a meeting point between Sheffield and Detroit techno and German and Belgian body music. At the time, it never fully developed and remained largely an idea, with only a few sketches recorded on DAT. More than three decades later, that original concept has been revived. Following an invitation to contribute the track In Your Mind to the soundtrack of Electronic Body Movie, directed by Pietro Anton, the project was reopened and reworked, taking shape in the present while remaining rooted in its initial vision. These five tracks reflect an awareness of both past and contemporary electronic music, filtered through an undiminished experimental approach and a conscious refusal to adhere to stylistic conventions or predefined genres. Circus Operandi is the project of Donatas Chipak and Tumosa, two figures of the Vilnius electronic music scene, and residents at legendary clubs Opium (RIP) and Gallery 1986, where Ivan Smagghe & Niv Arzi (who jointly run Customs & Faces) met them countless times at countless hours. We’re not keen at describing the music we release at C & F, no need for pigeonholing ourselves but this EP completely ticked our boxes : electro, techno and everything in between, punch and deepness included.

Blah Blah has been played in every Ivan Smagghe set for the last 6 months and picked up by, amongst others, Shonky and Francesco Del Garda. Some kind of hit rambling about ordering a pizza is quite something. Fantast and Hints are slightly moodier pieces of emotional 4/4 electro while Denter subtly hits at non-cheesy trance. Expect much more from these two very soon.

Dort entstanden bereits Hardings frühere Alben "Party" (2017), "Designer" (2019) und "Warm Chris" (2022). Following his debut appearance on HABITAT in 2024 with his standout ‘My Eyes Are Failing’ remix, Echonomist returns to serve up his ‘Dominator’ EP - a five-track release that captures the Greek artist’s unmistakable tension, groove, and analogue character, paired with high-caliber remixes from Fango and Toto Chiavetta. With previous releases on Innervisions, Exit Strategy, TAU, and Kompakt, Echonomist has steadily built a reputation for fusing raw emotion with forward-leaning sound design. His prolific output and effortless ability to experiment with various styles have long made him a respected figure within the global electronic landscape. Now, with his ‘Dominator’ EP, he brings that creative force back to Mind Against’s imprint in commanding form.

Opening with the title track, ‘Dominator’ immediately sets the tone: bustling energy, driving drums, and siren-like synths cut through a deep, Detroit-leaning atmosphere. ‘Modulator’ follows with a pulsing, oscillating bassline and rattling percussive breaks that coil around warped vocals. On ‘Use Your Illusions’, the pace becomes chuggier as he combines raw industrial drums with a thudding kick, dubby chords, and fizzing synths. The package is then elevated by two heavyweight reinterpretations, with Fango’s remix of ‘Dominator’ pushing the cut into a more intense, pressure-driven space, upping the ante with amplified rhythmic density. Shimmering Xhosa traditions and deep electronic futures vibrate as South African sonic poet and composer Dumama unveils her groundbreaking debut solo album, Towards An Expanse. Sometimes gospel, sometimes electro-psychedelic space travel, Towards An Expanse unfurls from a languid lament into an ever-expanding sonic universe. Dumama defies conventional genre boundaries while excavating deep personal and cultural histories in this concise but boundaryless collection, recorded between New York, Johannesburg and Berlin. Dumama first gained international attention with her acclaimed 2020 collaborative album, Buffering Juju, created with fellow South African musician and artist Kechou, and lauded as Global Album of the Month by The Guardian. Her new solo work draws on a rich lineage of South African voices. Gugulethu Duma (aka Dumama) is a musician / composer / sonic poet / creative producer from the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Dumama is one of the few uhadi players in the world. Her use of the traditional Xhosa bowed instrument guides her profound story-telling, blending ancestral roots into an urgent electro-acoustic palette. The album was born out of sessions with acclaimed musician and producer Shahzad Ismaily in New York and South African powerhouse Nandi Ndlovu in Johannesburg.

Roberto Zanetti, better known as Savage or Robyx, is without a doubt a fully realized artist. When he stepped into the world of dance electronics in 1983, success came instantly. Not only across Italy, but far beyond its borders. Alongside his own chart-defining run as Savage, Zanetti was simultaneously shaping the scene from behind the desk, developing talent and refining a signature sound that would define an era. By the late ’80s, Robyx was already an established powerhouse producer. Around that time, he wrote three tunes for Maurizio Felici, performing under the alias Wilson Ferguson. These tracks carried all the hallmarks of Zanetti’s late-’80s aesthetic: lush melodies, smooth, flowing arrangements and high-energy grooves built for the dancefloor. In Europe, where house music was rapidly taking over, this sound faced tougher competition, but in Japan, where Eurobeat was exploding into the mainstream, these productions were untouchable. Felici’s rich, throaty vocal delivery gave the tracks an unmistakable emotional weight and identity.

Responding to long-standing requests from fans, Vintage Pleasure Boutique now revisits the most melancholic and emotionally charged of these three recordings: “I’m Singing Again”, a bittersweet tale of lost love told through the language of Italo disco. It’s a perfect fusion of Savage’s late-’80s sonic elegance and a truly distinctive vocal performance.

For this new release, the story is pushed one step further with a fresh remix, slightly faster in BPM and clearly nodding to Robyx’s classic Eurobeat instincts, a version built to move bodies while keeping the original’s emotional core intact.

Carlos Dafé (born October 25, 1947) is a singer and songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, recognised as one of the iconic voices of the Brazilian samba-soul era. Born into a family of musicians and trained at the conservatory, he rose to prominence in the 1970s alongside Tim Maia, Cassiano, and Hyldon, shaping the sound of Rio Noir with his warm baritone voice and soulful phrasing. His 1977 album, Pra Que Vou Recordar, became a cult classic among collectors and DJs worldwide, earning him the title of "Prince of Brazilian Soul." Still active today, Carlos Dafé remains an essential reference for artists exploring the boundaries between samba, soul, and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Released in 1977, Pra Que Vou Recordar reveals Carlos Dafé at the peak of his art, blending samba-soul, MPB, and the warm groove of the 1970s Rio de Janeiro scene. Surrounded by some of the city's finest musicians, Dafé showcases his baritone voice in deeply melodic arrangements and a series of songs that have become fan favourites. An album imbued with soul and elegance. The sound of BrazilianBlack music at its most sincere and timeless.

"Psychedelic Cumbia Party" brings together for the first time the best recordings of Los Zheros, a pioneering band of Amazonian cumbia from Peru. Their sound blends fast, percussive cumbia rhythms with surf-style electric guitars. The album features their psychedelic rock hit 'Cuarto oscuro,' a highly sought-after track not only among cumbia collectors but also garage and psych DJs. This compilation is a joint release with Peruvian label Rey Record and includes an insert with never-before seen photos of the band, as well as liner notes by expert Víctor Zela (creator of the acclaimed project "La Cumbia de mis Viejos"). DESCRIPTION This compilation brings together for the first time the best songs by Los Zheros, one of the most renowned cumbia bands to emerge in the early 1970s in Iquitos-alongside groups like Los Rogers and Los Wemblers-in the heart of Peru's Amazon capital. The unique Amazonian sound blended fast, percussive cumbia rhythms with electric guitars in a surf style-a distinctive fusion that came to define Peruvian-recorded cumbia, markedly different from the traditional cumbia styles that developed in other cumbia-producing countries like Colombia. The album includes their psychedelic rock hit 'Cuarto Oscuro,' a highly sought-after track not only by cumbia collectors but also by garage and psychedelic DJs. This song also marked the beginning of their recording career in 1973. This compilation is a joint release with the Peruvian label Rey Record and comes with an insert featuring never- before-seen photos of the band, as well as liner notes by genre expert Víctor Zela (the mind behind the prestigious project "La Cumbia de mis Viejos").

"Melodic, dreamy bedroom pop with a nostalgic sheen" is how Tom Davies, creator of brand new dream-pop artist Flopsy's dream, describes this charming little album.
Some of you may know him as GeoWizard; the mad British adventurer/YouTuber who travels in straight lines, but here you get to see or indeed hear a completely different side to him - one that sings in soft, tuneful tones reminiscent of Damon Albarn or Ray Davies, builds ethereal, layered harmonies that wouldn't sound out of place on a Fleet Foxes track, and crafts gorgeous guitar and synth parts that could easily have come straight out of John Frusciante or Kevin Parker's handbook.
Written in a young Davies's bedroom between the years of 2008 and 2014, the songs themselves are far from brand new, but with the help of his good friend and writing partner Liam Rhodes (with whom he played in Birmingham Psychedelic outfit "Kinds of light"), Davies has brought these sentimental tracks to life whilst keeping them bang in line with their original vision.
The result is an album that doesn't really fit into any specific genre, in fact you could argue it's just regular old generic pop, but there's an innocence and a playfulness in there that disarms the listener and transports them to a simpler time when melody ruled supreme.

Originally released in the mid-'90s and long out of print, this deep house essential defined a generation of smoky after-hours and West Coast groove.

This deluxe 12" reissue stays true to the original deep, dubby sound but adds extra value for crate diggers and collectors alike with two previously unreleased mixes, recovered from the original DATs. These alternate takes give a new dimension to an already timeless track — stripped-down, hypnotic, and primed for modern floors. Pure vinyl heat from the golden era of deep house.
